Across four nights at the beginning of April 2015, Blinding Light was proud to illuminate the spectacular Freemasons’ Hall in Covent Garden for Letters Live.
Each show featured a unique line up of artists including Sir Ian McKellen, Kylie Minogue, Tom Hiddleston and Sir Ben Kingsley led by Benedict Cumberbatch in which 103 memorable letters were read to a sold out audience.
Blinding Light’s Neil Harvey created a lighting design to add ambience and a sense of theatre while framing and highlighting the performance area.
SGM P-5s and Clay Paky K10s were used to provide a wash of colour in the venue, while Smartbat wireless uplighters were used to highlight specific architectural features within the hall.
Clay Paky Alpha Spot 300 HPEs were also included in the rig to light the performers, while 1k generic floods were utilised to provide house lighting.
Blinding Light also designed and supplied a complete rigging solution to support all the lighting fixtures that was designed to work around the venues rigging points and was implemented using Litec QX30 truss.
The full rig was operated on a Chamsys MQ100 lighting desk by David Amos.
